Personal Information about Dr. Monarres
Dr. Yana Monarres &
Dr. Alfonso Monarres Yana
Monarres practices general dentistry on the north side of San Antonio. She
is married to Alfonso, who is a prosthodontist who practices in Stone Oak.
Yana and Alfonso met while both attending the University at Buffalo
School of Dental Medicine in New York. They fell in love and, after
graduation, they made San Antonio their permanent home.
Yana grew up in Russia and attended St. Petersburg University before moving to
New York to complete her undergraduate training. She received her Bachelor
of Science degree from the State University of New York before entering dental
school. She is in charge of the general dentistry and the Invisalign for
our office. She has advanced training in Invisalign and cosmetic facial
enhancing such as botox.
Alfonso
was born and raised in Mexico. He moved to Buffalo to do his residency in
prosthodontics. He is currently a part time professor in the prosthetics
department at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio,
Dental School and has a private implant and prosthodontic practice. He
lectures across the nation and internationally.
