Headache Causes
Most headaches are neuromuscular - they originate in the muscles of the head. The temporalis muscle is shown in the image below and is a great cause of pain in the temples and over the eyes. It is one of the prime muscles for moving the jaw. If the jaw position is not correct, this muscle becomes overworked and causes the pain. Sometimes this is incorrectly diagnosed as migraine. It can be on one or both sides of the head. There are a variety of types of headaches with different causes. In general they can be divided into the following groups.
